Prospective Ph.D. Students Updated for Fall 2026
To promote equity in the recruitment process, I am asking you to fill out a short form so that you can introduce yourself and indicate that you are interested in joining the Water-Nexus Lab. In order to join the lab, you will also need to apply to the Environmental Engineering Graduate Program. For prospective Ph.D. students interested in the Water-Nexus Lab, having an M.S. degree is not a prerequisite.
Due to the high volume of emails that I am receiving at the moment, I ask that you do not email me directly but use the form below.

Potential Postdoc or Collaborator
If you are interested in doing a postdoc or collaborating, please email me directly at cdefinnda@ucdavis.edu. While these opportunities will be funding- or time-dependent, I'm always interested in hearing from you!
For prospective postdocs, please don't get discouraged if I don't respond. My approach is to keep track of these emails and reach out when opportunities arise.
