Biography
Grace Lu is a Master’s student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Davis. She first joined UC Davis in 2019 as an undergraduate student in Environmental Science before transferring into engineering to deepen her knowledge and explore practical applications in the field.
During her undergraduate years, Grace assisted in an ecology lab using leaf samples to study animal behavior. Currently, she contributes to research in the Water-Nexus Lab focusing on membrane characterization under chlorination.
Outside of academics, Grace enjoys drawing, dancing, and traveling. She finds inspiration in California’s landscapes, especially along Highway 1. Over the past six years in Davis, she prefers roads along Putah Creek where the sounds of nature create a sense of calm and discovery. For her, Davis is a place that can always find surprises, whether experienced on foot, by bike, or by car.
