Raul Saenz

Biography

Raul Saenz is a fourth-year Civil Engineering major at the University of California, Davis, where he began his studies in Fall Quarter 2022. He previously interned as an estimator at Clark Pacific, a precast company, where he developed strong teamwork skills and gained hands-on experience with precast construction and estimating processses. His interest in the field is driven by a desire to explore something new and to gain experience in research, sustainability, and water-related systems, particularly to better understand what it means to work in a water-focused research lab. Outside of reasearch, Raul serves as a head officer and competitive traveling member of the Bowling Club at UC Davis. One his favorite aspects of Davis is its green environment, bike-friendly infrastructure, and welcoming community.
